Shadow Council Productions is a Los Angeles-based production company dedicated to creating innovative media content. Founded in 2010 and run by Teddy Cecil, Nick Cofino and Brett Miller, Shadow Council started as a small creative outlet, packaging and filming promotional material for other producers and artists. Once the three friends and business partners gained the experience and momentum needed, they shifted focus towards their own projects, the first of which was HELIO.
Shadow Council’s objective is to create unique and epic visual experiences and bring them to audiences everywhere across multiple platforms. Every Shadow Council production is treated like a passion project designed to be commercially viable.

Born and raised in New York, Teddy moved to Los Angeles in 2009 upon completing his film studies at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. His first short Helio – which he wrote, directed and produced – has won over 50 awards. His second short Only a Movie! is out now along with the animated lyric video for YG’s “Big Bank” which Teddy animated and directed.
Nick moved from New York to Los Angeles in 2012 to follow his passion for filmmaking, specifically animation. He created the cartoon series Rough Sketchz with Joe Salvatore and heads the animation department for SCP. Nick also co-produced both of SCP’s short films, Helio and Only a Movie!
Originally from Long Island, NY, Brett relocated to Los Angeles in 2009 after graduating from Amherst College. He was a lead producer on Only a Movie!, and along with co-producing Helio, Brett is currently writing and directing his first short film.
A California local, Nicolas has been writing scripts from a young age. Starting in commercial work, he wrote and directed his first short film in 2015. Since joining SCP he helped produce Only A Movie! and recently successfully funded his short film Spirit on Kickstarter.
